“Friendship is certainly the finest balm for the pangs of disappointed love.”

Jane Austen

Welcome from

Jane Austen

Jane was born in 1775 and passed in 1817. While she wrote many romances and comments on relationships it is said she never married. Her father was a member of the clergy, let's hope she did not have a Mr. Collins in her life.

I hear the chimney piece at Rosings was quite pricey. Mr. Darcy never found that partciularly inspiring. I never know how much he spent on his chimney pieces. But that is neither here nor there. Please, take a look at the library and indulge in a book if you wish.
